Foot & ankle care, from heel to toe.

Dr. Reper treats the full range of podiatric conditions — from chronic heel pain and bunions to acute injuries and surgical correction. Conservative approaches first, surgery only when needed.

01

Plantar Fasciitis

The most common cause of heel pain — a strain of the plantar fascia, the thick band of tissue connecting your heel to your toes. Characterized by sharp pain with the first steps of the morning or after sitting. Treatment typically includes stretching protocols, custom orthotics, anti-inflammatory therapy, and — in persistent cases — targeted injections or other advanced options. Most patients improve significantly without surgery.

02

Bunion Correction

A bunion is a bony bump at the base of the big toe caused by a structural misalignment. It can cause significant pain with everyday footwear and walking. Conservative management — wider shoes, padding, orthotics — often controls symptoms. When the deformity is severe or pain is limiting your daily life, surgical correction realigns the bone and provides lasting relief. Dr. Reper discusses realistic recovery expectations before any procedure.

03

Ankle Injuries

Ankle sprains, fractures, and chronic instability are among the most common musculoskeletal injuries we see. Proper imaging is essential — not all ankle injuries are sprains, and an undiagnosed fracture can cause long-term problems. We evaluate ankle injuries thoroughly with on-site X-ray and develop an appropriate treatment plan: from bracing and physical therapy to surgical stabilization for complex fractures or recurrent instability.

04

Diabetic Foot Care

Diabetes affects circulation and nerve sensation in the feet, increasing the risk of ulcers, infection, and serious complications. Annual diabetic foot exams are a critical part of diabetes management — and Medicare covers them. Dr. Reper provides comprehensive diabetic foot evaluations, monitoring for early signs of neuropathy and vascular changes, nail and skin care, and wound management. Prevention is the goal.

05

Custom Orthotics

Prescription orthotics are medical devices cast to your specific foot shape and designed to correct the biomechanical issue causing your pain. They differ significantly from over-the-counter insoles, which provide cushioning but don't address alignment. Custom orthotics can relieve plantar fasciitis, bunion pain, knee and hip pain stemming from foot mechanics, and general fatigue. They're a durable, non-invasive solution for a wide range of problems.

Foot & Ankle Surgery

When conservative treatment hasn't resolved the problem, surgery is sometimes the best path forward. Dr. Reper performs foot and ankle surgical procedures including bunionectomy, hammertoe correction, fracture repair, and ankle stabilization. He provides a thorough pre-surgical consultation — explaining the procedure, what recovery involves, when you'll be back on your feet, and what outcome is realistic. Nothing is scheduled until you're fully informed and ready.

Also treated

Other conditions we see regularly.

Heel Spurs

Calcaneal Spurs

Bony growths on the underside of the heel, often associated with plantar fasciitis. Most respond to conservative treatment — rarely require surgical removal.

Ingrown Toenails

Onychocryptosis

Painful and prone to infection. Minor procedures can provide permanent relief. Diabetic patients should seek prompt treatment for any nail or skin concerns.

Hammertoes

Toe Deformities

Progressive curling of the toe joints causing pain and difficulty with footwear. Conservative splinting and padding often helps; surgical correction is available when needed.

Flat Feet

Pes Planus

Fallen arches can cause foot, ankle, knee, and lower back pain. Custom orthotics are typically the most effective long-term solution.
